With more than 11 city-operated parks nestled throughout the city, you'll find pools, tennis courts, public golf course, countless soccer fields, baseball and softball fields - something for every age and interest.
Outdoor sport enthusiasts can enjoy more than 100 miles of trails crisscross the city providing year-round options for walking, running, hiking, biking, and roller blading.
The Hills of Cove Golf Course is an 18-hole facility owned and operated by the City of Copperas Cove. The original nine was built in 1972 and was exanded to 18 holes with an additional nine holes that wind their way throught the rolling terrain of Northeast Copperas cove. The course is a par 71 with five scenic and challenging par 3s with the shortest being 130 yards and the longest able to play 230 yards.
An estimated fifty-thousand visitors enjoy many festivals and special events that take place year around. These include Rabbit Fest (a summer festival), Ogletree Gap Heritage Festival (a multicultural fall festival), and Kris Kindle Markt (a downtown market festival heralding the holiday season), just to name a few.
